Heartburn
Don't be fooled! Heartburn doesn't go after the heart. It irritates a kid's esophagus or throat with acid released from the stomach.
What your child might say:

- "It feels like volcano lava is boiling up my throat."
-
"It's hard to swallow, like something's stuck."
-
"The pressure hurts—it feels like the school bully sitting on my chest!"
Cool it, heartburn! Children's Pepto puts out the fire and reduces the pressure.
Acid Indigestion
Sneaks up on kids when they eat too much or too fast.
